The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most famous tourist attraction and places to visit in China is located north of Beijing.The Great Wall of China is about 8,800 km long and dates back to 221 BC.The height of the fence is 7.6 meters and the height of the towers is 12 meters and is distributed along the fence 150 meters between each tower.
The Forbidden City is one of the world’s largest palaces, which ranks among the rest with the Kremlin, Buckingham Palace and Versailles. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Beijing, with large crowds. Most people walk into the middle of the city to see the large halls full of side treasures.
Temple of Heaven
The temple was built during the reign of Emperor Yongle (1406-1420), who was responsible for building the Forbidden City in Beijing. The Temple of Heaven enjoys beautiful scenery, and is also surrounded by a popular public park with locals to practice Tai Chi in the morning over the weekend.
Tiananmen Square is the largest square in the world and is still a stunning place and a point where visitors from all over China are surrounded by Soviet-style tourist attractions and government buildings. There are 4 marble blacks in front of the northwestern Tiananmen Gate with a bullet hole in the abdomen of Tiananmen Square massacre.
The Summer Palace is located 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from the center of Beijing. As its name implies, it is a palace which is used during the summer period as a summer residence for the rulers of the empire in China. The gardens were greatly expanded in 1750, with the reproduction of different styles of palaces and gardens from all over China. Kunming Lake extended the tradition of the West Lake in Hangzhou.
Beijing National Stadium, officially known as the National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest, is a stadium in Beijing, China. The stadium was designed for use in the 2008 Summer Olympics and the Paralympic Games.In 2001, after the hosting of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games was granted to Beijing, the construction of the national stadium was started on 24 December 2003.The Beijing National Stadium was officially opened on June 28, 2008 at a cost of US $ 423 million.
Beijing National Stadium ( BNS ) was a joint venture between architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Moron of Herzog & de Meron.
The stadium consists of two separate structures and an outer steel frame around it, shaped like a bird’s nest.
The eastern and western terraces of the Beijing National Stadium are higher than the northern and southern terraces, the pipes are used throughout and the pitch is put under the play surface to collect heat in the winter to warm the pitch and cool the summer to cool the pitch.
The capacity of the stadium originally amounted to 100,000 fans; 9,000 seats were removed during the simplification of the design, to 91,000, and then 11,000 seats were removed “temporary seats” after the 2008 Olympic Games, becoming a stadium capacity of 80,000 .
The Beijing National Stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremony of sports events and football finals at the 2008 Summer Olympics from August 8 to 24, 2008.
The Lama Temple (Peace and Harmony Palace) one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world is located in the northeastern part of Beijing. The temple was built by the Chinese emperors who lured the deep magic of the Tibetan Buddhist version. The temple is located on an area of 26 meters (85 feet) near the Maitreya Buddha statue carved from one piece of white sandalwood.
Nanluoguxiang is a luxury street in Beijing. Enjoy nightlife in trendy restaurants and bars. There are narrow passages lined with traditional housing. The Gulu region is one of the few remaining areas in Beijing which still has alleys, although there are many of these square houses with red door which are also being updated.
Badaling is the easiest way to get to the Great Wall of Beijing, making it one of the busiest places. It can be reached by public bus from Deshengmen on the second ring road in Beijing, Badaling has a prominent position in the Chinese government to welcome the two visitors
In the center of Beijing, is the most popular park, which attracts snow skiers on the lake in the winter with a chance to stroll in the spring to enjoy the blossoming of trees. It is a park very close to the Forbidden City, the first park set up in the Royal Stadium. Local visitors are welcomed on the morning of the weekend as the right time to visit.
